Update: It has turned into a really good week for me in Germany. Chiara and I knocked out the 2nd seeds, 6-4, 6-3, to put us into the semi finals. We dictated most of the match so were really happy with how we performed. This is the highest ranked doubles team I have beaten, they are at 2/300 WTA so a very good result for me to build upon.
We then got very fortunate as we found out later that evening that our semi final opponents, the 4th seeds, had pulled out, putting us into the final; so both the semi final and final in one day! We are playing against the top seeds, who are two Romanians.
We are going into the final ready for another tough battle, but confident in the doubles we are playing. We have one more day of preparation before matchday on Saturday. The match is being streamed on ITF Live Scores if anyone would like to watch 😄 Can't wait to get out there!!

Update: After coming through a 3 hour epic in my first round qualifying (7-6(3) 5-7 12-10), I lost in the final round of the $25k in Sunderland with a not too bad performance. I am really happy with the fight that I have shown in all my matches and not giving up until the match is completely finished. It’s nice to know that just coming back, there are just a few more things I need to tweak in my game to be able to go that step further hopefully next time qualifying and going some rounds in the main draw!
After a couple of days rest due to my shoulder feeling a little sore, I am going to get back into training from tomorrow and get working on my serve and also some point play and construction in readiness for me travelling to Cancún for 3 $15k’s in the next coming weeks! I’m really excited to be travelling again and competing abroad where there will hopefully be a lot of opportunities for me to get some good results! Onwards and Upwards!💪🏾

Update: In Sunderland this week playing doubles in the 25k event. Eden and I play in the quarters tomorrow agains a Dutch pair. Nice to be back on home soil for a week but not nice to be in the snow up in the north! Really happy to see the improvements I have made over the last few weeks come into play on the match court. Feeling really positive & Looking forward to the rest of this week and then onto Lyon for the WTA next week!

Update: Happy to win my first match in Altenkirchen, Germany, $25k. I am playing this week with Chiara Scholl from USA, for our first time together. We were both really happy with our performance yesterday as we felt we meshed our games together well and played aggressive doubles.
I didn't play any $25k's last year, and focused more on $15ks. So I am really happy to get off to a winning start in my first one for a while. I am aiming to do a few more $25s and above this year as it's the next step for my doubles development. Our next match in Altenkirchen is against the 2nd seeds, who are a high level and ranking so it will be a great test.

Update: Challenging week competing at two Batchwood G3’s - 14U and 16U. I played confidently and positively in the 14’s, winning it but had a tougher and more mentally demanding 16’s that I made the semifinals of. Lots of learnings, reflections and things to improve on but definitely some positives to take away.

Update: Unfortunately after a tough match against Katy I lost 6-2 6-4. It was a very competitive match and was neck and neck especially in the second set. I am very happy with my performance and feel confident going into my match today in Sunderland! My match analysis showed that there were definitely things that I can work on in my service game which I took back to Halton and worked on with Mike this week before coming to Sunderland.
Now I look to putting my training into practice in my match later on (hopefully holding a few more service games!) Fingers crossed it will all go well and maybe I can even go a round further than Glasgow!💪🏾💪🏾

Update: Unfortunately the second week in Greece didn't go as well as I would have liked results wise. I lost in the match tiebreak in singles qualifying (another match tiebreak!) and then in a really tight match in doubles, 7-6, 7-5. Both matches were are against higher ranked opponents, and despite the result, I was pretty happy with how I played and competed and felt it was a big improvement on my first week here, which is all I can really ask of myself. As much as losing in tight matches is tough, I know that with a few extra improvements, I can turn these losses around. So lots of positives to look at!
I am heading now to Germany for one week, to play doubles in a $25k event. It's a great opportunity for me to test myself against the better players and a good result will really improve my ranking. After that, I will be home to put in some work on the practice court with the rest of the ProV3 team. 💪

Update: Touchdown in the UK. Had a great last few days in Dubai working on my game and watching the best players in the world compete live. Unfortunately Eden and I just missed out on getting into the doubles in Dubai as it was a much stronger turnout than what it initially looked like. However we really made the most of our time there and played practise sets against the top doubles pairs each day and continued to make improvements. Looking forward to our next few weeks of tournaments. Next week is Sunderland 25k and the following week back to WTA level in Lyon this time..a bit more local for a few weeks!

Update: I’m going to be taking a few weeks off to recover from a number of injuries that have been caused by a ligament sprain.
I now have a recovery programme to help me implement the right injury prevention and get back to tennis as soon as possible.
It will take some time to recover but I will be back stronger than ever 💪
Looking forward to competing again 🏆
