Update: Didn't get the win this time. Chiara and I went down in a tight match, 7-5, 6-2. We were very much neck and neck with them for most of the match, however I think they played slightly better and slightly more consistently on the big points. There are so many positives to take away from this week. It was my best ever doubles result, and we were neck and neck in the final with players ranked in the 100s. I feel just this week alone, I made a lot of steps forward on court, played some really good doubles and more importantly enjoyed it so much. Overall it's been a great 3 week trip, made sweeter by the result this week. I'm headed home now with a few things to work on back at base, and a lot of confidence and positive feelings to take into my next tournaments 😄

Update: Won the doubles in Sunderland this week! Really proud to win this one as I’ve worked tirelessly to get myself back fit again since my surgery in July. A few days off for me now to let my shoulder rest, then back to training before heading to Israel in two weeks time.

Update: Arrived in Lyon late last night for the WTA. It’s my first time actually experiencing this beautiful city. Landing into Lyon is usually an in and out job getting straight onto the train to a different city. A disappointing loss in the quarters last week in Sunderland to the Dutch pair but no time to dwell on it as another week poses another great opportunity. We have a few days to hit the practise courts and the gym & get ourselves mentally ready to do battle from the get go. We have set up practises with other doubles pairs for the next few days to get as much live play in as we can. Can’t get enough of the pink courts 🥰

Update: Feeling good after this week, I worked a lot on volume and hitting through my shots (in squads and in my lessons.) I was also involved in a Teamwork filming sessions at Sutton which will be produced for the LTA. Now I’m really looking forward to getting back to travelling! Going to a 14U TE in Germany today and I’m feeling confident to play my best game.
